LENZING TENCEL™

TENCEL™is incredibly light and soft, and it’s also one of the eco-friendliest fabrics in the world. TENCEL™ comes from sustainably grown eucalyptus wood, a renewable resource that doesn’t compete for land with food crops. The wood is processed into fiber through an award-winning closed loop process where 99.8% of the water and solvents are recycled. In addition, TENCEL™ is wrinkle resistant, with moisture wicking properties.  Tencel TM is a branded version of lyocell, a type of rayon derived from cellulose fibers that come from tree pulp. Tencel™’s founding company Lenzing utilizes eucalyptus wood, sustainable practices, and responsible sourcing not guaranteed in other lyocell production processes.

LENZING MODAL®

Lenzing Modal® is impossibly soft.  This fabric comes from sustainably managed beech wood forests in Europe, making it far superior to other Modals on the market. Modal is an artificial textile made from wood pulp but mainly that of beech trees. While the pulp is natural, the production process involves chemicals like sodium hydroxide—but lower than the amount needed for rayon viscose like bamboo fabrics.

ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton is produced without any toxic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or genetically modified seeds (GMOs). This implies a sustainably managed fabric production process,  and organic certifications are available - look for GOTS or OCS certification.
